Kerala is stepping up its tourism promotion efforts in Gulf countries with a focus on attracting more international visitors to the state.
New initiatives are expected to highlight Kerala’s backwaters, beaches, hill stations, wellness tourism and cultural experiences. The state is particularly looking at markets in Bahrain and other Gulf countries.
Tourism officials are also focusing on creating new experiences that can encourage visitors to explore destinations beyond the traditional tourist hotspots.
The initiatives are expected to support local businesses and create new opportunities for the hospitality and tourism sectors across Kerala.
